WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER YOUR INSTALLATION CONTAMINANTS

For every tint shop in Arizona, achieving a 100% dust-free tint installation is impossible. A truly great/”Grade A” tint job by industry standards, sets a maximum of 1 to 2 small dust particles per window. At ProView, you will typically see even less than this standard. Because window film is an aftermarket application of a wet, sticky, static-charged adhesive by-hand, in an automotive garage rather than a sterile laboratory or hospital-grade cleanroom, minor contamination particles are an industry-accepted reality for all high rated tint companies-especially in Arizona’s dusty environment. Educating our customers about tint realities is very important, in order to set realistic expectations of how tint really works. A low rated tint shop will typically have many contaminants. ProView Auto Glass & Tint goes by industry standard of the “5 foot rule.” This means, if a speck or fiber cannot be seen from a standing distance of 5 feet away from the vehicle in daylight, it is actually considered a high quality installation. Location is Everything: Any contaminant in the driver’s direct line of sight is typically considered unacceptable for our shop, and eligible for warranty work.

MOISTURE & CURING PROCESS

Window film is a wet application product. During the curing process, it is completely normal to see residual “moisture” trapped between the film and the glass. This may appear as streaking, haziness, cloudiness, or small water bubbles/pockets. Do not panic or attempt to press/squeegee on these areas of the film, as it can damage the tint during the curing process. They will naturally disappear and clear up as the moisture evaporates and “cures.” This is not the same as a poor tint job with large bubbles or creasing. Complete dry-out/curing can take anywhere from 5 days to 20 days depending on the season. The hotter it is, the faster tint cures. Allowing the vehicle to sit in the sun for a few days can actually help it cure faster. Do Not Roll Down Windows for a minimum of 3 to 5 days. Do not clean tint or wipe tint the first week. We do not warranty tint that has been squeegied at home or tampered with/damaged during the curing process.

CLEANING YOUR TINT

Remember, tint is a long-term investment for your vehicle. The best way to clean tinted windows is by using soft cloth or paper towels, no scratchy material. Abrasive materials will permanently scratch the tint. We do not recommend using ammonia based products such as windex, unless it is ammonia-free. Over time, ammonia can react to the chemicals in the film to become hazy and blotchy. Stick to soap/water or a gentle cleaner! ProView Auto Glass & Tint is not responsible for damage done to film after an install related to cleaning or scratching. (CONTINUE TO NEXT PAGE)
PHYSICAL CARE EXPECTATIONS

Window tint is a hard, resistant layer, but not invincible. While the film is a resilient coating, it can still be gouged, nicked, or scratched by seatbelt buckles, jewelry, animals, or sharp objects. Many people don’t realize, tint is laid on the INTERIOR of your vehicle, not the exterior. Any type of damage that is inflicted to the film after installation, is not covered by our shop’s warranty.

LEGAL COMPLIANCE

We strictly adhere to state and local window tinting laws. Any film applied beyond Arizona’s legal limits is installed for off-road, show car, or medical-exemption use. When getting a customer preferred %, they acknowledge that they have been advised of the legal VLT (Visible Light Transmission) percentage and accept full responsibility for any citations, fines, or accidents resulting from illegal window darkness.

HARMONIC DISTORTION

If you are wearing polarized glasses, you may or may not see minor anomalies on the glass, (rainbows, lines, or marks are a few examples) which are an inherent result of the glass tempering processes such a tint. ProView Auto Glass & Tint is not responsible for these anomalies. Most customers do not have this issue, but some are more sensory sensitive, which we understand. If you wish to have tint removed, we are happy to do so, but there is an additional fee. All disclaimers are of industry standard/typical for Grade A, high rated tint shops. Thank you for choosing ProView Auto Glass & Tint We appreciate your business!

Warranties apply only to defects in the window film or workmanship and does not cover abuse, accidents, vandalism, improper cleaning, or damage caused by third parties after the install. The shop is not liable for citations, inspections, or legal issues resulting from the customer’s tint selection. We are not responsible for pre-existing glass scratches, chips, or cracks on your vehicle. We are not responsible for failures of aging or defective window regulators, switches, defroster lines, antennas, trim, electronics, or other pre-existing vehicle conditions.
Nano ‘Premium’ Ceramic

& Why We Use It

There are multiple grades of window tints for vehicles. Some are designed for aesthetic appeal only – while nano ceramic specifically provides superior heat protection or infrared radiation blocking technology. Ceramic window tint is the pinnacle of window protection. Nano ceramic window tint is the current top tier of automotive window film technology. Within the ceramic category, premium manufacturers have introduced nano-ceramic/IR-rejection ceramic films that target specific wavelengths of infrared radiation more aggressively than standard window films. The science is more sophisticated — these films are engineered at the molecular level to reject the exact infrared frequencies responsible for cabin heat, while allowing visible light through unaffected. Nano ceramic is engineered for superior clarity, blocking 99.9% of UVA and UVB, and is engineered to reject significant infrared heat. However, both greatly help to keep the inside of your vehicle cooler.

If you’re searching for the cheapest window tint film possible – ceramic film is not the product for you. It’s a premium product – which correlates to a higher price point. The film embeds ceramic nanoparticles — typically a metal oxide compound — that reject infrared energy at the molecular level. Ceramic film

delivers the highest heat rejection performance available, full UV protection, no signal interference, and complete color stability over time.

What it does well. Total Solar Energy Rejection (TSER) measures the full picture of the sun: the combination of all three parts of sunlight hitting your glass: ultraviolet (UV) rays, visible light, and infrared (IR) heat. Where ceramic film separates itself from every other film categories, typically achieving a TSER between 50% and 72% of total solar energy, and 99% of infrared radiation specifically. Infrared radiation is the wavelength most responsible for cabin heat buildup, which means ceramic film attacks the heat problem at its source rather than darkening the glass and hoping for the best. Premium nano ceramic films reject higher TSER percentage which means a cooler cabin.
In Arizona conditions, this obviously matters in measurable ways. Cabin temperatures in a vehicle with ceramic tint typically run 15-25 degrees cooler than the same vehicle without comparable heat-rejecting film after equivalent sun exposure. This does not mean your car will be cool if it’s parked for 5 hours, as your car is not a thermos. It means when the air is on, your car gets cooler faster and stays cool while your family is in it. It makes a significant difference. Steering wheels are touchable. Seats don’t burn, your family is more comfortable. The air conditioning reaches a comfortable cabin temperature in a fraction of the time, which improves fuel efficiency in gas vehicles and extends battery range in EVs.

Ceramic film also maintains full clarity at any visible light transmission percentage. A 35% VLT ceramic film is genuinely transparent — you can see through it as cleanly as untinted glass. Many people do not realize that all ceramic tint has a ‘slight blue tint.’ That is how the film is made, so when getting a lighter shade or clear, know there will be a slight blue hue to it. Older film generations sacrificed clarity at darker shades, but ceramic doesn’t. The film does not fade, does not change color, and does not interfere with any electronic signal. It carries the longest warranties in the industry — typically 10 years to lifetime warranties on premium installations.

Where it falls short. Cost is the primary trade-off. Ceramic film is typically 50-100% more expensive than carbon film. However, like other investments, many Arizona customers find this one time investment worth the cost. Through cabin comfort, interior preservation, better preservation of the vehicle mechanics, and avoided film replacement.

Carbon Window Film Option

Carbon window film is a mid-tier automotive and residential window tint that infuses carbon particles into the film layer to block heat and UV rays. It provides a distinct matte finish and superior performance compared with entry-level films, making it a highly popular upgrade for vehicle owners that want a budget friendly option.
Key Benefits of Carbon Window Film

Heat Rejection: Block 30% to 80% of infrared radiation to keep interiors noticeably cooler. Total 40%-60% TSER.

Complete UV Protection: Reject up to 99% of harmful UV rays to prevent upholstery fading and protect skin.

No Signal Interference: Contain zero metal particles, ensuring completely uninterrupted cell service, GPS, and radio signals.

Zero Color Fading: Maintain a true, deep-charcoal matte look over time without the discoloration associated with lower-quality films.

Windshield Protective Film Service

Protect & preserve your windshield with protection film. Windshield protection film acts as a thick, very transparent physical barrier covering your windshield, absorbing impacts and preventing damage before it reaches the glass surface. It’s also self healing, so if it gets nicked or impacted, it repairs itself. A high-quality film is 6.5mil-10mil thickness, and durable TPU material, and offers the level of defense needed to handle Arizona conditions. By stopping these small impacts from turning into big problems, you can avoid expensive repairs or full windshield replacements — which can run into the thousands, especially for ADAS-equipped vehicles with sensor-integrated windshields, as well as affecting insurance rates.

Instead of placing film on the inside like ceramic film, the protection film is placed on the outside of the windshield. This is a premium product made for windshields that we charge $500-700 depending on the size of the vehicle. One of the most frustrating (and common) problems drivers face is windshield damage caused by flying debris. We know this because we deal with hundreds of windshield customers every year with our ProView Auto Glass & Tint team. Gravel trucks, road construction, and loose stones are all part of the daily Arizona driving experience — and even the tiniest pebble can cause a chip that quickly spreads into a costly crack. Compared to the price of a single windshield
replacement or potential insurance adjustments: Protection film installation is a fraction of the cost. It lasts for years. For car enthusiasts, daily drivers, and especially business owners managing fleets, this makes windshield film a wise investment that protects both your vehicle and your wallet.
