Two windshields that look fairly similar from the outside can be very different once you account for:

- Acoustic glass
- Heads up display technology
- Other vehicle specific features
That is one reason comparing windshield replacement based only on the lowest advertised price can be misleading. A quote needs to account for the glass your vehicle actually requires and any additional procedures needed to complete the replacement correctly.

What About Windshield Repair?
Before replacing a windshield, there is another question worth asking: Does it actually need to be replaced?
Some chips and small areas of damage can be repaired before they spread.
That can save time, preserve the original windshield, and potentially prevent a much larger expense later.
But Arizona is not particularly forgiving when it comes to damaged auto glass. Heat, temperature changes, rough roads, and everyday driving can turn a small chip into a much larger crack surprisingly quickly.
If you notice windshield damage, having it evaluated sooner rather than later gives you the best chance of determining whether repair is still an option.
